On May 4, 2017, about 1020 coordinated universal time, a Robinson R44 helicopter, Russian registration RA-04156, was substantially damaged when it impacted mountainous terrain during a fire monitoring mission after departing from Beloretsk, Bashkortostan, Russia. The pilot and two passengers were fatally injured.
This accident investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Interstate Aviation Committee of Russia.
