West Michigan Regional Airport (KBIV) Wins Department of Transportation Award



HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - West Michigan Regional Airport is the latest recipient of the "Airport Sponsor of the Year" award.

The award was presented by the  Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Office of Aeronautics. This award recognizes sustained excellence in service to the aviation community through the development of numerous airport improvement and infrastructure preservation projects.

The West Michigan Airport Authority was selected in recognition of the outstanding local efforts involved in the recent completion of the new state-of-the-art Airport Business Center and Aircraft Apron projects.

The Airport Sponsor of the Year Award was established by MDOT to honor innovative developments that serve as models for airports around the state. 

The West Michigan Airport Authority is comprised of Park Township and the Cities of Holland and Zeeland and was established in 2008.
