United Airlines flight forced to land in Ireland after declaring emergency

A United Airlines flight traveling to Newark has been forced to land at Shannon Airport after declaring emergency. 

The flight, UA56, departed Paris around 8.30 local time this morning.

It was diverted to Shannon one hour and 30 minutes later, around 9.30 Irish time.
