AIRCRAFT FORCE LANDED ON THE MEDIAN OF A HIGHWAY, NEAR LAPLACE, LOUISIANA.








LAPLACE, La. -- A small plane was forced to land on I-10 around 11 a.m. Monday morning about a mile before LaPlace. 

According to State Police and the St. John the Baptist Sheriff's Office, a small plane landed on the highway at milepost 197 -- just west of the Belle Terre exit, near the St. James Parish line.

The pilot was the lone occupant of the plane and had just taken off from an airport in Reserve. The aircraft was forced to land on the neutral ground.

Pilot was not injured, and state police and sheriff’s deputies responded.
