Minot International Airport (KMOT) Manager Resigns

One day after the new, 43-million dollar airport terminal opened in Minot, the airport manager resigned from the job.

Andrew Solsvig has been manager of Minot's airport for more than six years.

The city public information officer says Solsvig resigned on Tuesday, citing a desire to work on personal development and to pursue other career opportunities.

City Manager Lee Staab says a national search for Solsvig's replacement will begin Monday and is expected to take three to four months.

Coincidentally, the city recently hired Deanna Stoddard from New York State to be the second in command at the airport, but she does not begin that job until this spring.

In the meantime, a consultant who helped in the opening of the new terminal, Ann Thorvick, has been named the interim airport director.
