Low-flying Plane Applying Crop Treatment

AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) -- See a low-flying yellow plane on Wednesday? Don't worry.

The Augusta Coop hired the plane to apply fungicide over field corn for some of its customers.

The applications will happen in New Hope, Dooms and Verona in Augusta County and in the Spring Creek area in Rockingham County.

The field that is being sprayed just north of Verona is right along Interstate 81.

Rockingham and Augusta County EOC as well as Virginia State Police have been alerted of what's happening.
