VIP culture persists: Pakistan International Airline flight diverted to Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: As Pakistan International Airline’s (PIA) hajj operation continues, PIA’s flight PK-732 landed in Islamabad instead of Karachi in order to facilitate some VIPs.

According to reports, PIA’s flight was coming from Riyadh and was scheduled to land in Pakistan’s biggest city Karachi but landed in federal capital Islamabad instead.

The plane was carrying Minister of State for Education and Professional Training Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).  There were some members of provincial assemblies as well.

According to a PIA spokesperson, the plane was carrying Islamabad passengers mostly and only 15 passenger were traveling to Karachi.
