Grand Junction Regional Airport (KGJT) FBI investigation update

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. It's been nearly a year since the FBI investigation of Grand Junction Regional Airport took flight and many questions involving possible administration fraud still remain unanswered.

In November of last year, the FBI and the Department of Transportation executed search warrants to investigate alleged fraud outside of airport operations.

Since then, airport director, Rex Tippets, has been terminated and the Airport Authority Board has been in search for a new director as of August of 2014.

We have reached out to the airport authority board chairman, Steve Wood, for an update on the investigation, but he has not returned our correspondence.
