800K Approved for Wittman Regional Airport (KOSH) Improvements

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says improvements will be coming to the Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh after Governor Walker approved more than $800,000 for repairs on Monday.

The money will be used to update the airport's layout, enhance its signage and update the layout plan for the airshow. An engineer at the airport said the project will also repair deteriorating concrete and help get rid of debris.

The Federal Aviation Administration will provide the majority of the money and fund $722,834.  The state and Winnebago County will provide the rest of the money and each chip in $40,157.50.

The project already started in May and is expected to be complete by mid July.
