Small plane crashes at Lewiston airport
No one was injured when a small plane crashed Saturday morning at the Lewiston-Nez Perce County Airport, closing a runway for about an hour.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:15 a.m., when a small, experimental aircraft had a hard landing on the tarmac, according to a news release from the Lewiston Fire Department. The impact caused the front landing gear to collapse.
