The maiden flight of Russia's first budget airline, Dobrolyot, will
take place in June, with tickets going on sale as early as Monday,
the CEO of its parent company said Friday.
The flight will take passengers from Moscow to the Crimean city
of Simferopol, though its exact date has yet to be fixed, Aeroflot CEO
Vitaly Savelyev told reporters on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg
International Economic Forum, RIA Novosti reported.
Though both companies have the same tariff — 7,500 rubles ($218)
for a return ticket — Dobrolyot's tickets will be cheaper, Savelyev
added.
The company currently has two Boeing 737 aircraft in its fleet, as
well as a SuperJet 100 on reserve from Aeroflot. It plans to expand its
service to St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kaliningrad once it gets enough
planes.
