A pilot has safely landed a small light plane between two runways in an emergency landing at Jandakot Airport this morning.
Police and St John Ambulance were called to the airport about 11.40am after reports of the crash landing.
The pilot is believed to be the only person on board and was unharmed in the crash.
A spokesman for the Department of Fire and Emergency Services said crews have been sent to the airport to check for any fuel spills.
The aircraft ran off the runway close to the airport's control tower during the landing process, police say.
They said one person on board had walked away from the crash unscathed.
The plane suffered some damage to a wheel.
The circumstances of the crash are now being investigated.
