VIDEO: Condor Squadron Flyover in Van Nuys Marks Pearl Harbor Losses

Van Nuys, Calif. (KTLA) A special tribute was held Friday at Van Nuys Airport for soldiers who gave their lives in a war more than seven decades ago. 

 At noon, eight AT-6 Texans of the Condor Squadron took to the skies for their annual Pearl Harbor remembrance.

On Dec. 7, 1941, more than 350 Japanese planes attacked the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

During the surprise attack, which drew the United States into World War II, 2,402 people were killed and more than 1,200 injured.

Each year the Condor Squadron makes a special journey in vintage planes to remember the victims of the Pearl Harbor Attack.
