Pangborn Memorial (KEAT), Wenatchee, Washington: Finalists for airport director announced

EAST WENATCHEE — Three men with experience running all or parts of airports in Idaho, Nevada and California are finalists to become director of Pangborn Memorial Airport.

The airport governing board made the announcement Thursday. The finalists, chosen from a field of 17 applicants, are:

Richard McConnell, who most recently was airport director at Boise Airport in Idaho

Trent Moyers, airport director at Elko Regional Airport, in Nevada.

Bryant Walker, assistant security manager at Sacramento County International Airport in California.

Photos and descriptions of each candidate are at the airport’s website at pangbornairport.com

The airport governing board will host a reception at the airport Sunday, Oct. 28, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., to give the community a chance to meet the candidates.

The board will interview the candidates next day at the Port of Chelan County office, 238 Olds Station Road.

The interviews will begin with a public session at 7 a.m., when each candidate will give a brief self-introduction. The board will then interview each candidate in private.

Airport board officials could offer the job to one of the three that afternoon.

Pangborn Memorial Airport has been without a director since late 2011, when former director Greg Phillips resigned to take a job at an airport in Vail, Colorado.

Operations Manager Ron Russ is the interim director.
