A small plane overshot the runway while attempting to land Friday night at the Camden County Airport here and crashed through a fence.

The two occupants of the plane were not injured, said airport owner Karl Kleinberg.

The Cherokee 140 plane, which seats four people, was going too fast upon landing and ran out of runway at about 7:30 p.m. said Kleinberg, who noted he did not know where the plane was coming from. The plane suffered wing damage.

The airport is located on Watsontown Road behind Berlin Park.

Kleinberg said Friday night he was waiting for investigators from the Federal Aviation Administration to arrive at the airport.
