Strong winds flip plane at Waco Regional Airport (KACT), Texas

WACO - Strong winds flipped a small plane at the Waco Regional Airport on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

Just before 5:00 p.m., a wind gust of over 50 miles per hour flipped the Cessna 172 on an airfield ramp.

Officials say the plane that is owned by Waco Flying Service, a company that provides flight training and rental planes, was totaled. Another plane was also partly damaged. Officials did not immediately know who owns the second plane or what the extent of the damages is.

No one was on either plane at the time and no one was hurt.
