SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Leaders at Gulfstream Aerospace Corp.
donated $8,000 to America's Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia to support
the food bank's mission to feed the hungry.
The donation
will provide 3,200 balanced meals for local children of low-income
families over the summer when school lunches are not available.
"Gulfstream
appreciates this opportunity to support America's Second Harvest and
its efforts to relieve hunger in our area. We were excited to learn how
timely this gift is for the food bank as they support their Summer
Feeding programs, and how this gift will provide 32,000 hot, balanced
meals for local children of low-income families during a time that
school subsidized lunches are not available," said Jennifer Giffen,
Gulfstream's vice president of human resources, in a statement.
