Air Namibia launches new routes

WINDHOEK – Air Namibia’s inaugural flights on its new routes are set for Gaborone, Botswana and Harare, Zimbabwe starting on May 15 and 16 respectively.

There will be three flights a week on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday to Gaborone, while Harare will be covered by four flights a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Air Namibia will deploy the Embraer ERJ 135 on these routes.

“This jet offers 37 seats in all one class economy configuration with generous legroom and comfort,” said Oneka Msika of the corporate division of Air Namibia.

The Ondjiva route to Angola will be inaugurated at a later stage.

The official launch of the three routes took place on March 15, in Windhoek and was attended by Works and Transport Minister Erkki Nghimtina, Government officials and representatives from the three countries Angola, Botswana and Zimbabwe.
