A float plane flipped over when it hit ice on a pond near Brantford, Ont. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011.

Ontario's provincial police are investigating after a float plane flipped over during take-off near Oakland, Ont., southwest of Brantford on Saturday afternoon.

Two people were on board when the small plane caught a piece of ice in a pond just before noon.

Police said no injuries have been reported.
