142 American Airlines workers in Tulsa affected by new agreement. The pact between the airline and union still needs rank and file approval

TULSA, Okla. — American Airlines and the Transport Workers Union have a tentative agreement for their fleet service and ground service employees. There are over 11,000 union members spread out over dozens of locations that are affected.

The Transport Workers Union Local 514 represents 279 of the workers in Tulsa, San Antonio, Memphis and El Paso. 142 of those are Fleet Service employees in Tulsa.

The agreement does include raises but it also includes the transfer of over 1,200 employees to other positions from their current duties for bus driving, refueling and daytime cabin services. Those duties will now be outsourced.

A release from the union says the four year proposal provides a nine percent base pay raise, a six percent lump sum bonus and five additional holidays.

The agreement still needs approval from the rank and file.
