Deputies with the Green County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of an aircraft crash near the Monroe Airport Tuesday around 5pm.

No injuries were reported. 

An investigation revealed the pilot to be 65 year old Wayne Endthoff of Beloit, who reported experiencing engine failure.

Endthoff was able to land the aircraft in a field near the airport. 

Endthoff was wearing all required safety equipment. 

As a result of the crash, the aircraft sustained some damages. 

The aircraft was later moved after notifying the proper authorities.
