  1. A tire fire? There's a main brake temp digital display for each wheel on the lower center EFIS of the 75/76 so it couldn't have been a dragging brake heating up unless a sensor failed. The display reads from 1 through 9 for each wheel with 1 being coolest to 9 being hottest. Any reading hotter than a 6 after landing rollout means the aircraft gets off the runway and immediately stops and calls for airport fire to inspect and monitor the overheated offender(s). To give you a scale reading on temps in that system, a wheel with a 5 reading means a temp range of 371-421C so you can easily extrapolate how much hotter in range each higher number represents.

    1. The nature of the flight was: Passenger - Non-Scheduled/charter/Air Taxi. Maybe the crew was watching the temp rise and had fire meet them at the gate so that no politically damaging images of the group on board sliding down slides in traditional attire of their homeland would be seen.

The fact that no news article can be found about a jet at the gate with a tire on fire is curious. Who was on board the chartered flight?
