No injuries were reported in an aircraft accident at Russellville-Logan County Airport Thursday afternoon.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Department responded to the accident at the airport shortly before 5:00. Officials said the plane was traveling from Christian County to Logan County when it blew out a tire while attempting to land, which caused the plane to travel off the runway and crash down a large embankment.

The sheriff’s office was assisted on scene by the Russellville Police Department, Logan County EMS, and Russellville Rural Fire Department.
