On November 15, 2020, about 1115 Pacific standard time, an Air Creation, Tanarg, weight-shift control trike, N912SU, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Pahrump, Nevada. The pilot sustained serious injuries. The aircraft was operated as a Title 14, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 91 personal flight.

According to the pilot, he had fueled the trike prior to take off with a total of 9 gallons of fuel in the tank. He flew about 6 miles east of the Calvada Meadows Airport (74P) and was performing shallow turns around a herd of wild horses, about 400 ft above the ground (AGL). After recovering from his last shallow turn, he realized he was low in altitude and applied throttle. The trike did not gain altitude and continued to descend to the ground. The pilot believed the engine was still running due to the three propeller blades all receiving damage after ground contact.

The trike came to rest upright in a gully populated with Joshua trees and vegetation. All major components of the trike remained attached to the airframe. The wings collapsed downward to the ground. The instrument panel separated but remained attached to the frame by wires. The three-blade composite propeller sustained damage to all blades. The trike was recovered to a private hangar for further examination.
