Jordan Air Inc Ensures Accuracy and Precision with GPS and Satloc Systems

While Jordan Air Inc pilots once used ground flaggers, they now use GPS and Satloc systems to ensure precision as they provide aerial application services.

Jordan Air Inc. is a family owned agricultural, spraying and aerial application business located in Okeene, OK and Hugoton/ Elkhart, Kansas. Gracie Jordan runs the Okeene office and Terry & Jill Jordan run the Kansas locations.

With the technology and computer systems, pilots use flow control and updated drift resistant nozzles to ensure proper application. They also make computerized maps, called shapefiles, then download into the airplane computer to assist with field locations, which saves chemical application time.

“Through continued education and updates to the application systems, we are a safer and much more efficient application business,” said sales and customer relations representative Kristy Taylor. “There is so much at stake and there are so many risks.”

  1. Almost another Ag crash report on KR which are in record amounts since Covid (increased demand from local farms trying to meet increased consumer demand wanting more locally sourced produce).
