A single-engine plane made an emergency landing in a Gastonia field on May 2nd, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

The plane went down around 8:15 p.m. Saturday in a field on the 2600 block of Linwood Road, near the Elks Lodge and the now-closed Linwood Springs Golf Club, according to emergency responders.

The Federal Aviation Administration said the pilot was the only person onboard the plane. 

Emergency responders said the pilot was not injured and the plane was not damaged in the emergency landing.
