On August 15, 2018, at 1700 eastern daylight time, an experimental Lazair II, unregistered airplane (previously registered as C-IFRY), impacted terrain during an unknown phase of flight near Racine, Ohio. The uncertificated pilot and a passenger were uninjured and the airplane was destroyed by impact forces. The airplane was owned was operated by the pilot under 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91.
