GREEN LAKE COUNTY, Wis. (WMTV)---A man and child were not injured after the airplane they were in crashed into a cornfield on Sunday afternoon.

The Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office said when deputies arrived on scene around 3:30 p.m. they found a 61-year-old man and a 9-year-old boy out of the plane.

The pilot said while in a holding pattern waiting to fly into the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2017 in Oshkosh, the plane suddenly stopped making power. He was forced to make an emergency landing. The plane was flying from Ohio heading to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2017 in Oshkosh.
