NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (KSNV News3LV) — Two passengers escaped injury when the small plane they were in made a hard landing at the North Las Vegas Airport on Monday afternoon.

A Beech 95 Travel Air made a hard landing on runway 12L about 2 p.m. and the landing gear collapsed, according to Christine Crews, spokeswoman for McCarran International Airport.

The pilot did not declare any emergency, indicating the collapse occurred after the plane touched down, Crews added.

The North Las Vegas Fire Department responded but cleared the scene quickly, Crews said.

The runway will be closed until a crane can come in to remove the plane.
