MOJAVE, Calif. - UPDATE: According to Federal Aviation Administration officials, the plane is a single-engine home-built Haguewood Racer. It is still not known at the this time how it crashed.
We also still don't know the condition of the pilot at this time, who was reportedly the only person on board the plane at the time of the crash.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
A plane has crashed at the Mojave Airport.
A person who answered the phone at the Mojave Airport confirmed there was a crash and said the fire department and an ambulance were on scene.
Initial reports are that it is a single-engine plane with one person on board.
