PITTSYLVANIA Co., Va. (WSET) -- The Pittsylvania Sheriff's Office has confirmed that a plane went down in Pittsylvania County near Route 29.

Ron Natalie said he was flying to North Carolina in his single-engine four seater, Navion plane when he noticed the oil leaking and the "engine seized."

He said he had to make an emergency landing in the field out near Blue Ridge Drive in Hurt.

Ron Natalie was in the air on his single engine plane. Had to do an emergency landing in Hurt. He is doing well, "no time to be scared".

Natalie was not hurt. His wife is now driving to come pick him up.
