A stunt plane preparing for Saturday’s Legacy Flight Museum Air Show made an emergency landing near Poleline Rd. in Rexburg Friday.

The red biplane ran out of fuel while practicing with other planes, according to crew members at the scene. The pilot found a recently cut hay field and landed safely.

The field is owned by BYU-Idaho and was recently cut, but the hay had yet to be baled, making it easier for the plane to land and take off.

The pilot was uninjured and the plane was undamaged.

Mechanics and police quickly responded to the area.

Once the plane was fueled up, it was able to take off from the field.
