Kitfox S7 Super Sport, 4X-OIE: Accident occurred March 04, 2016 near Bnei Tzion, Israel



Today, Friday, was a bad air day in Eretz Yisroel. A total of three air accidents took place today, in Gedera, Ashdod and the Sharon region. Two people were moderately injured after their paraglider collapsed, and they landed in the Kibbutz Revadim water reservoir. Another person was injured in Ashdod when his paraglider crashed at the Keshatot beach. At the same time, a light plane crashed in Moshav Bnei Zion in the Sharon region. The pilot sustained minor injuries.

The paraglider jumpers were rescued by boat and then taken to the Beilinson Medical Center in Petach Tikva by helicopter rescue unit 669. The rescued men are suffering from hypothermia.

The MDA paramedic said: “These two parachutists crashed into the reservoir. Because of the terrain we could not reach them, they had fallen deep inside. A military force arrived to rescue the jumpers by boat, while fully conscious and suffering from hypothermia. As soon as they came to us we gave them primary health care on site and later they were evacuated by helicopter to Beilinson hospital in moderate and stable condition. ”

At the same time, a man of about 45 was moderately injured after crashing with a glide at the Ashdod Keshatot beach. He was evacuated to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon, suffering an injury to his back.

Meanwhile, 45-year-old man was lightly injured after his light plane crashed in an open field in the Sharon region Moshav Bnei Zion. Rescue teams called to the scene gave him medical treatment on the ground, and luckily he did not need to be evacuated to the hospital.
