FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. -- No one was hurt after authorities say a small plane made a hard landing at the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport Wednesday morning.
The aircraft piloted by Don Edlin of Fernandina Beach was touching down on a runway about 11 a.m. when the plane's nose wheel collapsed on impact, according to Police Chief Jim Hurley.
Edlin was not hurt. Police said the two-seat plane sustained minor damage.
The runway was reopened after authorities removed the aircraft and the Federal Aviation Administration cleared the scene, according to police.
