EL CAJON - A single-engine plane slid to a stop at an El Cajon airport Friday evening after landing without its landing gear, authorities said.
The Cessna landed shortly before 7:30 p.m. at Gillespie Field Airport and slid to a stop on the runway, said Monica Zech of Heartland Fire & Rescue.
The male pilot, the plane's sole occupant, was not injured, she said.
There was no fire and the plane sustained only minor damage, Zech said.
The runway was closed until the plane was towed off the runway, she said.
