An experimental plane was forced to make an emergency landing in some Christmas trees in Texas Township. (Aug. 12, 2012)
TEXAS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A small plane was forced to make an emergency landing near Kalamazoo.
Authorities on the scene said it was an experimental plane and that it was only in the air for a few seconds before the landing.
The plane landed into some Christmas trees in the 5700 block of West R Avenue in Texas Township.
The pilot lives near where the crash happened.
No one was hurt, but the plane sustained some damage.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
