El AL Boeing 737 makes emergency landing in Ben Gurion Airport: Aircraft with 130 passengers lands shortly after takeoff due to malfunction

An El-Al flight departing from Israel to Vienna was forced to turn back and make an emergency landing at Ben Gurion Airport on Thursday, according to Israel Radio.

The emergency landing was due to a fuel system malfunction on the Boeing 737, according to the report. No injuries were reported. 

A spokesperson for the airline added that a similar incident occurred last week, when an El Al plane was forced to perform an emergency landing in Budapest due to a fuel system malfunction.
