Kenyans are known to be a highly innovative people but most of the time, their innovations never make it to the production stage. But one Kenyan, Gabriel Nderitu does not fall in this category. Nderitu has built a plane, yes, a plane which he recently tested at the proposed Kambirwa airstrip in Murang'a. After three years building the aircraft, Gabriel Nderitu ferried it to Murang'a for a flight test. While the plane did not get off the ground, Nderitu is confident that with a little more work, his dreams will come true.
