Pilot Shravan Rastogi and his parents are avoiding the police, after Sharavan's wife Chhavi was found hanging inside her SFS flat in Ashok Vihar Delhi on Feb 15 night, her parents alleged.
New Delhi, Feb 19 : On February 15 evening, the in-laws of Chhavi rang up her parents to say that Chhavi has locked herself inside her bedroom. When they reached the spot, they found her hanging from the ceiling fan.
Chhavi's parents allege that she was murdered, but police says it's a case of suicide. Chhavi's parents-in-law are doctors by profession.
A resident of Bhatinda, Punjab, Chhavi's brother Smit alleged that she was killed by her husband after several months of harassment.
"The in-laws used to threaten her that they would send her back to her parents", alleged Manju Gupta, Chhavi's mother.
Chhavi's relationship with her pilot husband Shravan had never been smooth since their marriage.
Chhavi's parents allege that her husband used to beat her. There was a case registered against him in Bangalore, they said.
