High court to decide on Zambezi’s fate

The status of Zambezi Airlines’ Air Operator Certificate (AOC) is in the hands of the Zambian High Court, which has reserved judgement on the matter. This is the latest update from Iata following the suspension of the airline in late October. Meanwhile, agents are still in the dark regarding refunds. “There has been no word regarding refunds, clients who purchased tickets months ago, now have to purchase new tickets at a higher expense. Notification regarding refunds would be highly appreciated,” said one agent. Iata expects to be advised by the airline once the court has made its ruling after which it will determine the appropriate actions and procedures and communicate these to agents. The Zambian Government said that decision was made as a result of “serious safety concerns”.
