Incident occurred January 19, 2021 at Rochester International Airport (KRST), Olmsted County, Minnesota

ROCHESTER, Minnesota – A small plane had to make an emergency landing Tuesday at the Rochester International Airport.

A Piper aircraft declared an emergency while in flight and landed around 12:35 pm. 

An airport spokesperson says emergency crews were onsite, assisted by local agencies like the Rochester Fire Department.

The plane was flying out of Wisconsin and no injuries were reported with this incident. 

It is not known what the plane's destination was.


A small aircraft made an emergency landing around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rochester International Airport.

The aircraft lost power to one of its engines while mid-flight between Rochester and Winona, according to scanner traffic.

The aircraft reportedly had three occupants and made a successful landing.

The Rochester Fire Department and Mayo Clinic ambulance were waiting at the scene for the plane's landing.
