NASHVILLE, Tennessee (WZTV) — A runway at John C. Tune Airport was closed after a plane landed without first lowering the landing gear.

Fly Nashville President and CEO Doug Kreulen confirmed that the aircraft is back on its landing gear and should be towed out of the way shortly. Only one pilot was onboard the aircraft.

The aircraft landed on the runway and slid into the grass.

The roadway is expected to reopen once safety inspections are completed.

No injuries, fire or fuel leaks were reported. The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the incident.
