HOBBS, New Mexico (KRQE)- A plane was forced to land on a New Mexico road after a mechanical issue.

The Lea County Sheriff’s Office says the pilot was flying to Colorado when she reported complete engine loss. The pilot was able to safely land the aircraft on Alabama St. just north of Hobbs.

The plane was eventually pulled off the road that has since reopened.
