Coming Soon: Silver Airways To Offer Ft. Myers-Nassau Non-Stop Flights

For the first time ever Southwest Floridians will soon be able to have the luxury of traveling non-stop to Nassau, Bahamas come May 26, 2016. Silver Airways will be running non-stop flights from Southwest Florida International Airport to Nassau’s Lynden Pindling International Airport.

“Anytime we can add a new route to our airport it gives our residents options and variety for vacations and air travel,” Director of Air Service Development at Southwest International Airport Carol Obermeier said.

The flights will take place Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week.

There are many activities and sights in Nassau. The Atlantis Resort, the world famous Cable Beach, Downtown Colonial Nassau, and the historic Fort Fincasle built in 1793 that overlooks Nassau Harbor are all sights to be seen. For activities, there are fishing, diving and shopping.

The people of Southwest Florida have been asking about nonstop travel to Nassau for three years and now they get their wish.
