An airplane with a landing gear problem went off the runway at Scottsdale Airport on Monday afternoon.
Unconfirmed reports from KPHO/KTVK helicopter pilot Bruce Haffner say the pilot did a flyby and then decided to land.
The plane's landing gear collapsed during the landing and the plane ended up in a dirt area of the airfield.
According to a tweet from the Scottsdale Airport, the plane is a Falcon 20. It veered off the end of Runway 21. Four people were on the plane. None of them was injured.
The airport was closed while crews moved the plane off the field. They had to get permission from the National Transportation Safety Board to remove the plane.
Traffic was rerouted to Deer Valley Airport or other local airports, according to spokeswoman Sarah Ferrara with the Scottsdale Airport.
The airport reopened at 7:30 p.m. but is closed from 9 p.m. Monday until 6 a.m. Tuesday for scheduled construction.
Lights and signage were damaged in the incident.
