Reno-Tahoe International Airport (KRNO) Now Flying Non-Stop To Boise, Idaho

To celebrate Reno's new non-stop flights to Boise, UNR's mascot Wolfie challenged Boise State’s Bronco Buster to a dance-off!

The Reno-Tahoe International Airport’s reach got bigger today due to the addition of a new non-stop flight to Boise, Idaho.

Alaska Airline’s sister carrier, Horizon Air, will now fly passengers back and forth from Reno to Boise on a 76-seater aircraft.

Airport officials celebrated yesterday’s opening with a dance battle between the University of Nevada, Reno’s mascot, Wolfie, and Boise State University’s Buster Bronco.

Marily Mora is the President and CEO of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority.

“Well I think what we’re seeing here with air service is a reflection of what’s happening in our community and the 50,000 new jobs that we’re going to get in next 5 years,” Mora said. “We’re seeing a lot of business development, so that’s going to transfer into more passengers, more flights, as well as more cargo lift.”

Next year, Alaska Airlines plans to bring a new, daily, non-stop service to Orange County in California beginning in March.
