Incident occurred November 16, 2015 at Los Angeles International Airport (KLAX), California


 Los Angeles, CA (KSNV News3LV) -- American Airlines flight 2472 had to make an emergency landing due to mechanical problems at LAX Monday evening.

The Boeing 757-200, traveling from San Diego to Dallas-Fort Worth, declared an emergency due to a flap issue. 

The plane landed without incident in Runway 25 and taxied to the gate. 

American Airlines sent the following statement:

“American Airlines Flight 2472 from San Diego International Airport to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, diverted to Los Angeles International Airport due to an indicator light in the cockpit reporting a possible mechanical issue.”

“The aircraft, a Boeing 757 with 182 passengers and a crew of six, landed safely and taxied to the gate. Our maintenance team is currently evaluating the aircraft."

"We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience, and are working to get them to Texas as soon as possible.”
