Simrik Air chopper makes emergency landing in Tanahun

TANAHUN: A 9NAJZ helicopter owned by the Simrik Airlines made an emergency landing due to bad weather near Bhanu Customs Office of Tanahun on Friday morning.

The chopper which was heading towards Humla from Kathmandu made an emergency landing at 9:15 am this morning.

"We were forced to make an emergency landing owing to the deteriorating weather ," Captain Bibek Khada said.

According to the Manakamana Battalion of Armed Police Force (APF) in Bhanu VDC of Tanahun, five people including two Americans, a Chinese and two crew members were on board the chopper.

The helicopter had taken off from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) at 8:30 am.
