MOLINE, Ill.—  An aircraft whose pilot signaled trouble with landing gear made an emergency landing at the Quad City International Airport.

The pilot first reported the landing gear would not open just before 8 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2012.

The plane then began circling the airport.

Firefighters, ambulances and emergency workers from several area agencies responded as the aircraft circled the airport.

There were six people and two hours worth of fuel reportedly on the Beechcraft plane.

Those aboard the aircraft were reportedly able to manually open the landing gear when the mechanical opening failed.

About a half-hour after the emergency was reported, the aircraft landed safely.

No injuries were reported.
