Must have been a surprise to whoever was boarding to have the floor pitch down as the cg swung the nose up. Perhaps they should load front rows first.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it "lost contact" with the tail, not with the ground.
ReplyDeleteCorrect - The stand is just a pole that attaches under the tail and hangs down (red in the photo below). Must not have stayed attached to the tail when the Pilatus see-sawed.

And similar on two 208's of theirs:

If it was that aft-CG heavy before PAX were loaded, and there are only four seats forward of the wing to equalize heavy weight in the tail (cockpit seats and first two cabin seats), and it took just one person to head to the back to see-saw it, then maybe they shouldn't have taken off to begin with.
ReplyDeleteprobably boarded in a tight line back to back. And maybe heavy passengers .Sorry to them dont want to sound rude.
DeleteOr they had something interesting in the back as part of loaded freight and the PAX crowded to see it. A "Look at the puppy" group move could momentarily shift the cg enough.
Delete++++ Sure do hope things are all going well for the folks at Kathryns Report, been missing your update content ++++
